Best beginner-friendly romances

These are efficiency picks, not “canon best characters”:

  1. Celine — if your farm already produces flowers
  2. Reina — if you live in the kitchen
  3. March — if mines are your main loop
  4. Hayden — if ranching/golden products are online
  5. Valen — if you want a straightforward town schedule romance

How to choose without overthinking

  1. Talk to everyone for 3 in-game days.
  2. Note who you want to open dialogue with.
  3. Only then dump Loved gifts.
  4. If two people tie, date both lightly until the game asks you to commit.

Step-by-step relationship path

Phase 1 — Recognition (Week 1)

  • Meet them; learn rough schedules
  • Talk daily when convenient
  • Gift Liked items; save scarce Loved gifts
  • Keep farm chores sustainable (First Week)

Phase 2 — Friendship foundation

  • Maintain daily talk + gift rhythm
  • Watch for heart events at 2/4/6
  • Budget gold for gifts (Money Making)

Phase 3 — Dating choice (around 8 hearts)

  • Complete the 8-heart event
  • Choose Romantic or Best Friend route
  • Continue gifts/talks on the path you picked

Phase 4 — Engagement & marriage (10 hearts + craft)

  1. Reach 10 hearts while dating
  2. Get Engagement Ring recipe from Elsie
  3. Reach the craft requirement (Mines 90 material)
  4. Craft ring → Discuss → propose or wait
  5. Set wedding date (min +5 days) and optional ceremony customizations
  6. Wedding day is mostly a guided cutscene (town helps with chores)
  7. Spouse moves in; expect post-marriage furniture and later family discussion
